If you live in Texas when you wake up, you're gonna be 774 new laws that go into effect. The ones you wanna know. Number one, after Uvalde, they have went so hard in making sure that schools are safe. To have to be an armed officer at every elementary, middle, and high school campus in the state, as well as mental health training for school staff that interact with children. Fentanyl. This will classify overdoses from fentanyl as poisonings. And anybody who provides fentanyl that ends up unaliving somebody will face unaliving charges. This is a huge one. Senate Bill 15 prohibits transgender athletes from competing on college teams that match their gender identity. The law extends to existing restrictions on K12 that require students to match their assigned sex at birth. Restricting explicit performances, drag shows, and things like that will not be to be done in front of children. And if so, the business that is hosting that will be fined by the state. Also prohibits transgender youth from receiving puberty blockers and hormone therapy. And doctors who prescribe these will lose their medical license in Texas. Biggest ones on the list. They have banned the state from enacting mask mandates, vaccine mandates, business and school closures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Texas.
