Hey guys, it's time to check on our wasp friends! I don't think many have hatched yet because they do take about five days. I obviously got a lot of questions about these parasitic wasps which sound very scary, but they're actually very much microscopic. You can hardly see them even when they hatch. They actually do not sting, so they are harmless to both humans and pets. Scared of actual wasps, I do not want to get stung. Bumblebee even. I'm like, oh, I'm going in the other direction. But I'll give you a little look into my closet. Many of you were wondering, will they be flying around? The wasps do not fly very much, but I do have the doors closed. Here are the eggs. Some people were also wondering why I removed clothing from my closet because obviously I do not want to just remove clothing that has moths in it. But I did take those out to launder them and then put them in plastic bags. I also have these pheromone moth traps which it caught one recently, but they only catch the adult male moths. So it's been two days and I honestly cannot tell how many have hatched versus not. It seems like maybe some of them have, but they are so microscopic and don't really fly around. They just find the moth eggs. I've been dealing with moths on and off for nearly four years. One method I probably have not tried is moth balls because they are toxic and could kill my cat if she ingested them. I'll continue to give you guys updates on the wasp and moth situation, but apparently I do need to release another round of wasps after two weeks. That's the plan. Stay tuned.
