Funny enough, I still use GPT-5.6 Sol for almost everything 😭 GPT-6 Astra is obviously the new flagship, but newer doesn’t mean better at literally everything. On this writing benchmark, GPT-5.6 Sol ranks #6 with a 2156 Elo, while GPT-6 Astra Max ranks #11 at 1995 — a 161-point difference. This is exactly why I don’t immediately abandon an older model when something new drops. Different models have different strengths, and for writing, I still REALLY like Sol.
