My TV feels bigger. Same screen. 👀 I added the Govee TV Backlight 3 Pro, and now the color spills past the screen onto my wall. Blue scenes wash the room in blue. Explosions throw orange and red around the edges. It makes movie night feel a lot more immersive without replacing the TV. A little camera on top reads the screen and tells the lights behind it what to do. What movie or game would you put on first to test this setup? @goveeofficial #Govee #TVBacklight #HomeTheater #SmartHome #techtok So, the Govee TV Backlight 3 Pro fixes this with a camera that clips onto the top of your TV and reads the color output of whatever's on your screen in real time. That data gets sent to the LED light strips around the back of the TV and those strips throw matching color onto the wall behind it. It is so cool. So if a scene is drenched in blue, the wall behind your TV goes blue. If there's a fiery explosion, orange and red light spills out around the edges of and the effect is that your TV feels physically bigger because the color isn't contained to the panel anymore, it's bleeding out into the room. And on top of that immersion factor, you get the practical benefit of bias lighting, which cuts down the eye strain that comes from staring at a bright screen surrounded by darkness. And setup is about as simple as smart home tech. The camera clips on top, LED strips run around the back, you plug it into the wall, follow the instructions in the app, and you're done. That's the backlight working on its own, but I wanted to push the effect even further into the room, so I added a second light.
