I made a household binder to get all of the important information about our home out of my brain and in one place and I want to share it with you guys. I originally made one for my cousin when she moved into her new house and after showing it on here, a few of you wanted to see more so I made one for myself. I started by making a family email which I think is such a good idea if you don't already have one, you should. You can use it for all your household things including accounts, bills, warranties, receipts, literally you name it, you can put it in. Then I divided it into 12 sections: mortgage, insurance, warranties, receipts, taxes, utilities, receipts, home information, appliances, home repair log, home project tracker, vehicles and lastly safe keeping. I also added some custom documents throughout the binder and labeled them with tabs based on things that I thought would be helpful in each section. Some of my favorites are the quick reference guide, the appliance information and also the home repair log. This just makes it so much easier to find what I need instead of digging through a bunch of paperwork. Then the last section is my safe keeping pouch which is a perfect place for things like passports, security cards or anything else I want to secure and keep all in one place. The binder from Amazon and I just used Google Docs made the documents, printed them at home and this was under $10 for the whole setup. I'm so happy on how this turned out and if you guys have any questions or want to see anything more up close, just comment and let me know and I will gladly show you guys another video.
