THE COOKBOOK IS COMPLETE 😭😭😭 Can’t believe I’m typing that & I don’t even really know how to put into words what it feels like to finally be holding this in my hands. 🥹😭🩷 So proud of you @Mamaw Gail 🍽️ On June 26, 2024, I posted the very first video of my Mamaw Gail. I had no idea what that video would turn into. Now, September 6, 2026 - 2 years, 2 months and 11 days later - I’m holding Mamaw’s very first cookbook in my hands. Not only have we gotten to experience things I never could have imagined, including being on national television, but now we’re releasing her first cookbook that we have spent the last two years working so incredibly hard on. This has truly been a labor of love and, honestly, probably the hardest thing I’ve ever done! We knew absolutely nothing about publishing a cookbook when we started, but we figured it out along the way. One thing we knew from the beginning was that we wanted to keep this as local as possible and support as many Appalachian people and businesses as we could. The book was designed by me and another Appalachian graphic designer, Tia Bentley - with Mamaw helping every step of the way. The cover photo and forward photo were taken by my best friend and fellow Appalachian photographer, Miranda Collins. The books will also be shipped right out of a holler here in Eastern Kentucky. I’m so proud that when you order this cookbook, you’re not only supporting my Appalachian Mamaw, but you’re also supporting Appalachian people who helped bring this book to life. I’ve been Mamaw’s grandson my whole life, but these past two years I’ve had the honor of being her GRANager and being right beside her every step of the way. Looking at this book in its final printed stage honestly makes me emotional because I know how much work went into it and, more importantly, what it means to Mamaw. Making her dreams come true one step at a time 🥹😭 I never thought that first video on June 26, 2024 would lead us here. From that video, to national television, to holding Mamaw’s first cookbook. I can’t wait for y’all to hold this in your hands & I can’t thank all you GRANfans for all the love and support - you’re all basically my cousins now, right 😂🩷 Let’s change Mamaw Gail’s life together. 🩷 Pre-orders: September 30.
