for those new here, my main ceramics practice is in raku firing, which is a technique originated in 16th century japan. it involves taking pieces out of the kiln at 1800F and putting them through an oxygen reduction using combustibles like paper and sawdust. the colors are completely unpredictable and each piece is one of a kind!! #pottery #potterytiktok #ceramics #ceramicsoftiktok #raku
