I switch out my bags all the time and this is the little system I've formed over the years that keeps me organized. So this is my big bag, usually for work or traveling. I prefer something much smaller. But instead of keeping different things, I have three main pouches. First is my everyday essentials: wallet, tissue and a wipe, hand sanitizer, hair ties & earphones, a lip product and sunscreen for touch ups. And I also keep my AirTag here. So these all come with me no matter what bag I'm using. And I chose this pouch cause it can work as a handbag on its own for when I'm really in a rush. Also if I wanna switch into a smaller bag like this, it's so easy to dump everything in here. The second is more nice to have things if I have the bag space or if the day calls for it: sunglasses, portable fan, and I have a separate card case for cards I don't need in my everyday wallet. And her third is my emergency kit, which I love bringing for long work or travel days. So much fits in here. I have a brush, gum, wipes, face mask, hand cream, an actual pen, sunscreen, and more hair ties. A mini pouch in here too for medicines, band aids, and things I need when I get dizzy. So depending on the day, according to this bag hierarchy, I just add or remove a pouch. If it's a small bag, just the essentials. If it's a bigger bag like this, I'll add the nice to have. And if it's work or travel, I bring all three. The other half of the system happens when I get home. So I've made a habit to empty out my bag at the end of the day. I have this tray near my door where all the pouches and random bag things live. So I throw away any receipts or trash in the bag and store the actual bag. That way the next morning, I can choose whatever bag I want and pack it under 30 seconds. Nothing revolutionary, but giving everything one place to come back to has made switching bags basically feel effortless.
