What about comedonal acne (closed comedones)?

So I approached closed comedones much differently than I approach comedonal acne, inflamed breakouts, painful cystic acne. They're two completely different things and need to be treated two different ways. So my name is Ashley. I'm a licensed esthetician and acne expert here in McDonough, Georgia. So closed comedones or maturation arrest acne, breakouts that never fully came all the way up. They're just like little bumps underneath the skin that never fully mature or come out. They're not inflamed, no redness or pain associated with them. I actually love to use a salicylic cleanser because it starts to clear out that blocked pore with dead skin and oil or sebum. So salicylic acid directly binds to oil to break it down and clean it out. So I love Lira's ICE Sal Cleanser because there's also probiotics in here that keep the skin barrier healthy. And then I really, really need to keep the skin soft and hydrated as you can. Because they got stuck up under the skin and they don't want to come out. We really need to soften everything to make them come up and out of the skin. So mixi Dew Drops and mixi Peptide Rescue to strengthen, soften and rebuild the skin. And lastly, I personally like to treat closed comedones with a retinol. My favorite retinol is Lira's Pro Retinol Creme. I'm not only is there retinol in here, but there is lactic acid, which is an exfoliant. It brightens and it also draws hydration into the skin, which is exactly what we need when we're trying to soften the skin to get those closed comedones up and out of the skin.
