A few things that have helped me get invited to more events in Houston: 1. Use location-specific hashtags like #HoustonInfluencer so brands and PR teams can find you. 2. Incorporate things to do, places to visit, and experiences in your city into your content. 3. Genuinely engage with other local creators who attend these types of events. Brands sometimes discover creators through comment sections too! 4. Create high-quality content whenever you visit or review places in your city. Show brands what your coverage could look like if they invited you. 5. Make content around events you already attend. You don’t have to wait for an invitation to start positioning yourself as someone who covers local experiences! A little recap of the week🥰 ✨ Modern Luxury Houston’s Live & Dine at The Corinthian 🍵 Matcha at Midnight—a late-night coworking and social experience with plenty of vendors, specialty drinks, and a DJ. It happens every Thursday at The Seremoni Edit! 🎬 Netflix’s A Different World: Road to Hillman—Houston at Prairie View A&M University during Labor Day Classic weekend. We attended a live taping of NightCap, saw members of the new cast, and celebrated HBCU culture with the band, dancers, and Greek life! @Netflix #houstoncontentcreator #buildingmydreamlife #influencerevent #nyfw
