The Season 10 trailer confirmed Gorr the God Butcher as the newest Duelist, wielding the All-Black Necrosword and a scythe, with the ability to execute enemies and absorb their essence to summon AI-controlled Black Berserkers. His first act in the Marvel Rivals timeline? Killing Loki. Players who tried to select Loki this week found his name and face wiped from the roster, replaced with a symbol marking his passing. He remains available in Competitive only. NetEase has done this before as Gambit, Psylocke, and Wolverine were all killed off during the Age of Apocalypse arc before being brought back, so Loki's death is unlikely to be permanent. Gorr is the only new hero this season, with NetEase focusing development resources on upcoming Avengers: Doomsday tie-in events.
