Hook
I am morbidly obese and pregnant. I am 14 weeks pregnant and I want to talk about what happens in my doctor's appointments and how it feels to be pregnant as a morbidly obese person. Some of the questions that I had before I was feeling this way that I thought that I would just be open about and talk about. Um, the number one thing is an ultrasound. I was worried how that was going to happen because I have a giant apron belly, not exaggerating. So far, I have had to have one internal ultrasound and it was elected because we couldn't quite see the baby clearly enough and I asked for it. Otherwise, they've been completely able to find the baby just like going on my stomach. I do have to lift my apron belly up for them and hold it up so that they can get my like pubic bone where the baby is, which by the way, babies are way lower than I thought that they were going to be. Interesting tidbit. My boobs have like tripled in size, which is insane because I was already like an F cup. So that's crazy. I literally am going to need custom bras, I think. Um, and then obviously 15 weeks, it's when a bump kind of starts to show from what I'm reading. I I do have a bump. Um, strangers would not think I have a bump. My husband can see it, my best friend can see it, my my stomach is totally different. Um, but obviously when you have a big stomach, it it just is what it is. I completely submit to the fact that I'm not going to have a perfect baby bump. But uh, that's all I can think about right now. If you have any questions, nothing is off limits or TMI, I will literally tell you all of it. What do you want to know about being morbidly obese and pregnant and like the logistical, physical things that come along with that.
