La Sal Del Rey is in Edinburg, Texas and is one of a few salt flats and all of the country which makes sense why it’s a state historical landmark,, this place is completely free to visit and maybe a 10 minute drive off the main road,, like I say in the video I do recommend you bring some type of sun protection and some water because when I went it was really hot as you can tell by me becoming increasingly wet throughout the video. If you live in Texas or planning to visit and are looking for something fun to do or are interested in nature, parks, or hiking then you should definitely come check this place out, it’s definitely family friendly as I saw a family pushing a stroller out as I came in and especially if you come after it rains then it will be very beautiful but even if not like when I came you can still see a bunch of salt and it’s a really cool experience #texas #travel #southtexas #rgv #History
