The amount of great white sharks on the Cape right now is insane. It’s unheard of to have that many dead seals on the beach. And again first time in history, dead seals at West Dennis Beach. What that means is it’s a beginning of a new era. It means they’ll be white sharks, actively hunting in those areas more and more in the summer months. Because every year the shark population grows because of the seals. I can’t even imagine what it’s gonna be like five years from now? We never thought the numbers would be where they are now. We never thought we would see the sharks where we’re seeing them now. It’s a game changer for Cape Cod moving forward. It really is for a lot of reasons. If the people feel like they can’t go in the water anywhere at a certain point they’re gonna stop coming to the cape. Because it’s crazy expensive and if you’re on vacation and your beach is closed for five days straight or however, many days or it’s just completely unsafe for your children to be in the water. You’re not gonna come here on vacation. Plain and simple. Now the Outer Cape, that is the norm. But we had more sightings on the bay this past summer than ever in history. And we got real lucky. Real lucky the towns did a great job with the spotter planes and the drones this past Labor Day they were on point watching the water. We always say thank God tourism ends after Labor Day. The truthfully, every year, the sharks grow in Numbers. And what was October is now September what is September will eventually be August so on and so forth. It’s gonna get to a point where we’re gonna be unlucky. On a regular basis. So many great white sharks, congested in such a small little area. It’s literally unheard of anywhere else in the world. #capecodboy4life
