This is the exact same makeup. I only changed where the light was coming from. I recorded this and decided to share it because I wanted to show you just how much the position of the light can affect the way your makeup looks. Most of my videos are recorded right in front of my window, but I stayed up way too late this time, so I had to use artificial light instead. That accidentally gave me the perfect opportunity to show you the difference. The makeup you do at home can look completely different at a convention or during a photoshoot simply because the light is hitting your face differently. And this is something worth remembering when you're looking at yourself in the mirror, on camera, or comparing your makeup to someone else's online. Social media also doesn't always show you what something actually looks like in real life. And yes, your skin has texture. It has pores, little bumps, lines, and all the other things that come with being a living, breathing human. Your skin has a much more important job than looking perfectly smooth in your cosplay. So if your makeup looks different depending on the light, that's not your face suddenly failing you. It's literally just light doing what light does 🫶
