IKEA has released an official Skyrim mod, and it is one of the most unexpected things to happen in gaming this year. The mod, called Kallax Storageborn and co-developed with modding studio Kinggath Creations, activates when players become over-encumbered. From there the Dragonborn is sent to a long-abandoned Dwemer emporium, completes a questline across two IKEA-themed dungeons, fights a boss called the Clutter Golem, and assembles a KALLAX shelf unit using a magical Allen wrench. The shelf then comes to life, voiced by BAFTA-winning actor Matt Berry of What We Do in the Shadows and The IT Crowd, and follows you around Skyrim as a companion with infinite storage capacity, summoned by a new Dragon Shout: "AYE-KEY-YAH." Items you store on it actually appear physically on the shelf in the world. New loot includes the Meatball Helmet and the Allenblade. The mod is completely free on Bethesda's Creations platform on Xbox and PC.
