#Ye interrupted Taylor Swift’s VMAs speech on this day in 2009‼️👀 He took the microphone from Swift when she was accepting Best Female Video and claimed that Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” should have won the award instead. “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ma let you finish,” he said. “But #Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time!” Ye was widely criticized for the incident, and later admitted that he went into exile to stage a “comeback” with his 2010 album ‘My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.’ Ye’s public relationship with #TaylorSwift only got worse, though, after claiming he made her “famous” on the 2016 song of the same name.
