Anytime we have a family function or church event or something, I always am asked to make these homemade pizza rolls. They are the best. Here's the recipe. I start out with the Rhodes dinner rolls. They're frozen, so I always set them out, leave them out at least two to three hours so they can thaw and kind of self-rise and get soft enough to kind of flatten. When they've been out two or three hours, I get my pepperoni and my mozzarella string cheese. Get it out, get it ready to go. My little boy loves to help me do this. He thinks it's so much fun, but you have to flatten them, kind of get them all ready to go. I always preheat the oven at 350 before we start. I take one string of the mozzarella string cheese and break it into threes. This is going to give you three pizza rolls. And then you go ahead and get one of your rolls, and I always stretch it out. You're going to end up folding it here shortly, so go ahead and make it flatter and longer. Put two pieces of pepperoni on the bottom, one of those one-third of your mozzarella string cheese, two more pieces of pepperoni on the top, and then you just fold. I always hold my thumb in the middle so you can hold on to everything that's been folded. I always just make sure it's good and tight, and then there you go. That's how you're going to do every single one of those rolls. My little boy even has it mastered. He thinks it's so much fun to to make these pizza rolls and say that he's helped cook. But once you get all of your rolls done, we ended up doing 32-ish or so today, but you go ahead and put them in the oven. I usually put them in for 20 minutes, but I do always check them about 15 because for some reason they cook hotter. But this was 20 minutes in. I do mine a little bit different than what I was taught whenever I was shown this recipe, but I always get them out and I change my oven to broil and put it on low because my family likes a little bit crispier of pizza rolls, but I spray them with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, then when I get them out after just a few minutes, I kind of just keep watch on them, then I spray them again. Make sure that they that they get soft, and then I go ahead and put some Parmesan cheese on the top of every single pizza roll, parsley flakes on top of that, and then this is the ooey gooey final product. These are the best pizza rolls ever and they're so easy to make. Let me know if you try it and if you like it. Eli always gives these a 10 out of 10.
