witty friends are the best kinds of friends

The best thing you can be in this world is witty. Like seriously, think of the wittiest person you know, and I promise you they're probably well-liked, probably successful, and 70% of that equation is because of their wit. Knowing how to keep a bit going, making pop culture references that aren't overdone, inventing and reinventing lingo, these are all genuinely more important social skills than anything you can find on a resume. And meeting someone witty makes you want to be witty too. Like it's literally contagious. I will die on this hill, the most important compliment I could receive is that I'm witty.
