“If there is a waterfall, then there’s a secret behind it” Welcome to THRONE ROOM, a medieval fantasy world hidden inside KINDRED ⚔️🕯️ THRONE ROOM is a cocktail chamber tucked inside KINDRED, but walking inside will transport you to another space and time. Dark passageways, waterfalls, chainmail curtains, candlelight, a custom dungeon synth soundtrack playing in the background (by local musician Drew Andrews), and a menu that literally comes as a scroll. Even the tiniest details are intentional, all the way down to the bathroom faucets. The space was designed by BASILE Studio and has been nominated for the 2026 San Diego Architectural Foundation Orchids & Onions People’s Choice Award. The cocktails are just as experimental as the space, so come ready to try something different rather than ordering your usual. Drinks are served in chalices, naturally. Everything we had was completely unexpected, and obviously we got one of every food item AND extra bread. And yes, everything is vegan! 🌱 The experience is 90 minutes, which gives you just enough time to take in the details, try the drinks, peek into the bathroom, and enjoy the atmosphere!
