Transcript
These may look like antique nightstands, but their original purpose was a little more specific. Dating to the turn of the 20th century, this matching pair of French Louis XVI style bedside commodes has enamel lined lower cabinets that once concealed chamber pots, complete with openings at the back for ventilation. Even the doors open in opposite directions because one was specifically made for each side of the bed. Do you still use chamber pots? #antique #furniture #History #fyp #weird
