Why it worked

The video leverages Drake's personal milestone (his 40th birthday) and a relatable concept (FOMO) to create an introspective and engaging piece. The creator's established brand as a celebrity news outlet likely contributed to its reach.

Summary

Drake reflects on the concept of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) as his 40th birthday approaches. He discusses how quickly time passes and encourages people to stay connected and engaged with each other rather than living vicariously through others.

Structure

1Introduction of Drake and his upcoming birthday
2Drake's reflection on the passage of time
3Explanation of what FOMO means to him
4Encouragement for people to stay connected
5Desire to see more artists engaged

Product placement

eTalk: This is a media outlet that produces celebrity interviews and entertainment news. It appears as a watermark and on the microphone. Removing it would not change what happens in the video. Dream Crew Entertainment: This is a company that appears as a backdrop logo. Removing it would not change what happens in the video.

Drake reflects on FOMO ahead of 40th birthday You're coming up to a big birthday All right, man Alright, guys You've accomplished lifetimes or families-worth of work What does "Fear of Missing Out" mean to you? This life is passing us by really quick These years are going These seasons are going Even just hearing walking around hearing people be like "Damn, summer's over already" You know? the weather's changing now you gotta put on a jacket Next thing you know it's 2027 I just wanna encourage people I don't wanna come at it from that like preachy place of of like being like It's not a "touch grass" type of thing It's more just like I want people to be in touch with each other I wanna see more artists I don't want people to just think it's too unattainable I don't want people to stop their ideas because we're living in a generation of watching or hearing or living vicariously through that is missing out to me Our experience is how we got here It's cause we went
