Why it worked

The video leverages a relatable, high-energy family activity combined with a time-sensitive, value-driven incentive (free coffee), making the brand promotion feel like a fun personal vlog rather than a traditional advertisement.

Summary

A mother and her three young sons dress up in animal-themed costumes to participate in a Dutch Bros promotional event offering free drinks. They successfully visit a drive-thru, receive their beverages, and the mother expresses her intent to continue the daily activity.

Structure

Product placement

Dutch Bros (a) it ACTS — the creator and her children visit the drive-thru to receive free drinks as part of a promotion. Removing it would change the entire premise of the video.

Transcript

It's time we get our Dutch Bros and they're giving away free medium drinks if you dress up every single day. I have not attempted it this week yet, but it seems too good to be true. But today is animal/animal print, so I am wearing animal print all over. We got a gorilla and we have a little T-Rex. We're going to see if we can get some free coffee. Let's go. I am happy I got my coffee. We will be doing this every day the rest of the week. Cheers.
