day 1 of car camping at 📍Clear Lake Campground along Guanella Pass Rd! (fall foliage conditions as of 9/17/26) Was hoping for a quick overnight trip that would get me closer to the Abyss Trailhead for some leaf peeping the next AM, and ended up at a stunning campsite surrounded by glowing aspen leaves 🥹🍂 Shoutout to my camp neighbors Adrien, Carol, and Steven who have convinced me to socialize at campgrounds more often 🫶 And friendly reminder to be kind & respectful of others… I’m pretty sure this is the first time someone has tried to take a site (and maybe some of my gear?) while I’m away, and I’m probably lucky it hasn’t happened more often! #colorado #denver #fall #carcamping #solotravel
