If you tend to feel squats mostly in your knees, this is one of my favorite cues to try 👇 “Spread the floor apart with your feet.” Your feet aren’t actually going to move. Instead, think about keeping them planted while creating outward tension against the floor. That little shift can help you create more tension through your hips and glutes, keep your knees tracking in line with your toes, and make your squat feel a whole lot more stable. A few things to think about: Keep your whole foot connected to the floor. As you squat, gently drive your knees out in the same direction as your toes. Think about spreading the floor apart underneath you without actually letting your feet move. And don’t overdo it. We’re creating tension, not forcing your knees as far apart as possible. Will this cue magically fix every squat? No. Your stance, ankle mobility, anatomy and squat variation all matter. But sometimes the difference between an exercise feeling awkward and finally clicking is simply hearing the right cue. Save this one and try it during your next squat session. 👇 #squatform #formcheck #dumbbellworkout #homeworkouts #trainertips
