One of the biggest shaping mistakes I see is overfiling the sidewalls to force a certain shape, especially when the natural nail doesn’t have enough length to support it!! If you want a long, pointy almond, you need enough length to actually create that shape. Trying to force a short nail into a specific shape can mean removing too much from the sidewalls and that can leave the nail looking too narrow, structurally weak, + disproportionate.
