For me - it was growing up with an alcoholic dad. It’s an experience I would never wish even on my worst enemy. Since our wedding day, I made it clear to my husband that there are many things I am willing to live through, but addiction to alcohol is not one of them. That is something my daughters will NEVER experience while under my roof.
