As a Montessori teacher, this is the #1 potty-training hack I wish someone had told me sooner! 🚽✨ 🧷 Put a few clothespins on the back of your child’s pants and have them practice reaching behind to pull them off. Why? Before a child can independently wipe, they first need to understand how to reach behind their body. This simple little game helps them practice that movement in a fun, low-pressure way! You can turn it into a game: ✨ “Can you find all the pins?” ✨ “Reach behind and take them off!” ✨ Practice using both hands and reaching from different angles. Once they’ve mastered the movement, you can connect it to wiping: reach behind → wipe → check → repeat as needed. 🧻 It’s such a simple way to build the coordination and body awareness needed for independent wiping, without making the toilet the place where they learn the skill for the first time. I share more potty-training secrets I’ve learned over the past 20 years in my potty-training course! Check the link in BIO and I’ll add you to the waitlist!
