Patrick’s Panic-Attack Explanation Just Created MORE Questions for Me Patrick says that right before the 911 call was played, he went into a back room and had what he described as a “massive traumatic panic attack.” His heart was pounding. He was taken to an ambulance. They offered him medication. And he says he refused it because he wanted to go back inside and finish testifying. Okay. Then explain the part everyone noticed on the stand. Because Patrick went back into that courtroom and looked almost completely checked out. Flat. Detached. Minimal visible emotion. People watched him testify about the worst night of his life and kept asking why he seemed so emotionally removed. And now he’s telling us: I had just had a massive panic attack. I was offered medication. I refused it. That almost makes the courtroom demeanor MORE confusing to me. Because if he had said: “They medicated me heavily and I was numb.” I could at least connect those dots. But he says he took nothing. So how do you go from a massive traumatic panic attack in an ambulance… to walking back into court moments later looking THAT shut down? Maybe there is an explanation.
