It's official. The digital euro. Monday, 21st of September, we will launch Pontes. Now, Pontes is, to summarise it quickly for you, it's digital euro made available for banks so that they can transact amongst themselves using tokenized assets and distributed ledger technology. Complicated on the face of it, rather simple that they can operate faster without friction. A journey that they have to embark upon. End of the journey, we continue to work and more will be developed. But it's beginning on Monday. What did I indicate we expect? Well, we expect a couple of things in particular. One is, we very much hope that the piece of legislation that is currently under debate concerning the digital euro will see its completion and finalization before the end, and the earlier, the better. I'm very grateful to the Irish presidency which has indicated its determination to push this issue forward, move in the roll out of the pilot according to plan in mid-27. It's official. The digital euro is here. We're talking about a CBDC, a central bank digital currency that's launching in Europe today. If you think that's just a Europe problem, think again. Her talking wasn't just the president of the European, the ECB. She also was the International Monetary Fund for eight years. We're talking about the very, very top of the international monetary system, IMF. CBC's again, we're talking about a fully programmable, trackable digital currency that is owned and operated by the central bank, which is completely different than what you see when you log into your bank account today. Now, I'm a monetary analyst. I report on this stuff for a living, but recently, social media platforms have a hard time. So I don't want to go too deep into what this could mean for your future. In fact, I encourage you, do your own research. Google Central Bank Digital Currencies. Look up what the ramifications could be. Because it's not if they're coming, it's when. And this is not misinformation. You heard it directly today from the ECB. Digital euro is launching in Europe, starting with banks and then moving quickly to consumers. As she said, as soon as possible. So buckle up, because this is just the start.
