Why it worked

The video likely performed well due to the relatable and humorous transition from roasting to helpful advice, combined with a specific product recommendation that addresses a common skincare concern (large pores).

Summary

Product placement

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant ACTS - it is a skincare product that exfoliates the face, and the creator is recommending it to the other person. Removing it would change the video's focus from skincare tips to something else. This product ACTS, and its removal would change the video's focus.

Okay, large pores. C-bum, whitehead. What? You didn't say that part. Large pores. You didn't say that part. Large pores are just over here. But that that's easily solvable. Exfoliant. Face wash. That's what I need. You need at least once a week. At least once a week. 'Cause you know if you're skipping washes, so exfoliant face washes the one that has the little grain in it.
