I posted my first TikTok 11 days ago. I hit 1,000 followers yesterday, and I was accepted into the Creator Pilot Program today. At this point, most creators would be talking about everything they did to get accepted into the program faster. However, I would like to talk about what these screens will look like as you navigate throughout the process. I found that these screens functioned a little differently than what I was anticipating at the beginning of the process, and this caused me some unnecessary anxieties. So let's review those today. The first thing we're going to talk about is how to find the application page. What you're going to do is go to your For You page, and up in the search bar, you're going to search Creator Search Insights. From there, at the top right, you're going to press the red View button. Then you're going to tap on Unlock your benefits and badges, and then press the red Go button. From there, you'll see the three areas that you need to have a green checkmark. Pretty much everyone starts off with the first two that are already checked green, which would be following Community Guidelines and being over the age of 18. And then the last one is having 1,000 followers. And then at the bottom, there is a little greyed out red Apply button. So what I expected to happen is once I hit 1,000 followers, I was going to obtain that third green checkmark, and from there, the red Apply button would be not greyed out anymore, and I'd be able to tap that and go through an application process. In reality, what actually occurred is that third checkmark did not come until the process was completely done. So the process automatically initiates once you reach the 1,000 followers, and essentially, after approximately 24 to 48 hours, if not a little bit longer, I've heard for some people, you'll have the page change to where there are actually four check marks that are applied, and then you'll be able to just press a red Join Now button. So the red Apply button really doesn't seem to play a role here. But if you're panicking about not having your third green checkmark after you hit 1,000 followers, I wouldn't be concerned about it. You just want to keep checking that page to make sure that nothing has changed in the meantime. For me, it took a little over 24 hours. My final bit of advice for you is going to be the same as what any other video says: engage, engage, engage. TikTok uses a lot of algorithms, so they really wanna make sure that you are not a bot, that you're a real person, and that you are genuinely interested in the program. So you're gonna be looking for the Creator Pilot Program in your search bar, you wanna interact with videos like this and other videos that are similar talking about the program, and you just want to make sure that you're copying the link and sharing and saving the videos, and just making sure that your interactions are genuine and full of text. You just want to make sure you're not using a bunch of emojis, that's bot behavior. So just make sure you look like a real person, that you're genuinely interested. I also did follow some of the other recommendations such as clearing your cache. I highly doubt that made an actual difference, but I did want to speed up the process, so I did it anyways, it didn't hurt anything. And finally, I have made purchases transparently in the TikTok Shop in the past, but I did not make a purchase between the time that I hit the 1,000 followers and when I was accepted into the program. I'm very doubtful that having a purchase done is going to make a difference in that regard. However, it would be beneficial to make sure that you have some products on hand that are available in the TikTok Shop, and if you don't, you do want to make that purchase, that way you can start making your videos on these products immediately. Otherwise, good luck going through your process, remain patient, remain vigilant of the page, and the acceptance will come soon.
