Why it worked

The video leverages curiosity about speculative tech and custom UI modifications, tapping into the 'what if' appeal of combining different smartphone design aesthetics.

Summary

The creator demonstrates a custom third-party animation mod on a Xiaomi 18 Fold that mimics the opening and closing effect of a hypothetical iPhone Duo. The video focuses on the visual effect of the mod rather than promoting a specific product.

Structure

1Creator holds a folded Xiaomi phone
2Creator opens the phone to reveal the home screen
3The custom animation plays during the transition
4Creator closes the phone to show the animation again

Product placement

Xiaomi 18 Fold: The phone being operated, it ACTS as the device showing the custom animation. Removing it would change the video entirely. iPhone Duo: A concept/style reference, it merely APPEARS as a design inspiration for the mod.

Xiaomi 18 Fold with an iPhone Duo-style open and close animation 👀 I installed a third-party mod that adds this animation when opening and closing the phone. Of course, it’s far from Apple-level smoothness, but it’s really cool to try this effect in my own hands. #xiaomi18fold #iphoneduo #animation #android #Tech
