My wife pregnant wife was craving burgers 🍔 for dinner so I made her: Double Gouda Burgers with Garlic Parmesan Dipping Sauce ♥️ Ingredients For the burgers: * 700 g ground beef (about 1.54 lb) * Gouda cheese, sliced * Salt and pepper * Burger buns * Lettuce * Caramelized onions For the garlic Parmesan dipping sauce: * 1 tablespoon butter * 5–6 garlic cloves, finely chopped * 200 ml heavy cream (¾ cup plus 1 tablespoon) * 100 ml milk (⅓ cup plus 1 tablespoon) * 60 g grated Parmesan (about ½–⅔ cup) * 1 tablespoon seasoning blend made with paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder * Salt and pepper, to taste * A small amount of chopped parsley For the burger sauce: * 3 tablespoons mayonnaise * 1 tablespoon mustard * Chopped pickles * Salt and pepper, to taste Instructions Step 1 – Prepare the burgers: Shape the ground beef into patties and season both sides with salt and pepper. Cook in a hot skillet until browned and cooked to your liking. Place Gouda on each patty, allow it to melt, and stack two patties together. Step 2 – Mix the burger sauce: Combine the mayonnaise, mustard, chopped pickles, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Mix until creamy, then set aside. Step 3 – Sauté the garlic: Using the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and cook for one to two minutes, just until fragrant. Keep an eye on it so the garlic doesn’t burn. Step 4 – Start the dipping sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and milk. Add the paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir everything together and let it gently simmer until it begins to thicken. Step 5 – Finish the sauce: Add the Parmesan and stir until completely melted and smooth. Mix in the chopped parsley. The sauce should be thick and creamy but still pourable—flowing from the spoon almost like a small fountain. Step 6 – Toast the buns: Place the burger buns cut-side down in a pan and toast until golden brown and slightly crispy. Step 7 – Assemble the burgers: Spread the burger sauce on the bun, followed by the lettuce, double Gouda patties, and caramelized onions. Add the top bun, cut the burger in half, and serve with the garlic Parmesan sauce for dipping.
