I’ve been practicing Chinese medicine for 16 years, and some of the habits people find the strangest are the ones that work the best. Some of these come directly from TCM, some are how I’ve adapted those principles to my own life, and a few are just things I’ve learned make me feel better after years of trial and error. The bigger point is that I don’t think you should waste your time blindly following the same “healthy” morning routine or wellness routine every day when you might not need it. Your routine should be reactive, not proactive. Your routine should be reactive, not proactive. For me, nervous system regulation and self care rituals work much better when I choose them based on how I actually feel that day and what my body is asking for. Which is probably why I’ll happily skip my morning routine entirely if I wake up feeling great. And spread practices out throughout the day instead. 🤍 Tell me which one you want me to explain properly first because I already know some of these need context. #chinesemedicine #womenswellness #selfcareroutine #reactiveroutine
