🍂 Looking for a fall day trip near Charlotte that the kids AND adults can actually enjoy? Save this one. @The Union Exchange We spent opening day of fall season at The Union Exchange in Monroe, NC, and this might be one of my favorite ways to ease into fall. 🤎 We started with a wagon ride around the property (which is seriously beautiful), wandered through the pumpkin patch, visited the donkeys, goats + chickens, hit the playground…and somewhere in between all of that, my daughter became VERY committed to completing the scavenger hunt around the farm. 😂 She was not leaving without every box checked. Then it was our turn 🍺 We grabbed a local Southern Range beer from the barn, headed around the corner to The Exchange Eatery and tried the soft pretzel, chicken salad sandwich, chicken tenders + mac & cheese — and the food was genuinely SO good. There’s also coffee, ice cream + bakery treats inside the market, plus live music, fire pits, picnic tables, pickleball, volleyball and plenty of space to just hang out. And yes — dogs are welcome outside on leash. 🐾 The Union Exchange says dogs can’t enter the barn. 🎃 2026 FALL SEASON: SEPT. 25–NOV. 1 📍 The Union Exchange 2022 New Town Rd • Monroe, NC 28110 IMPORTANT FOR WEEKENDS: Saturday + Sunday visits during September and October now require a $5 vehicle reservation; it’s one reservation per vehicle, not per person. Walk-ups may be accepted if that time isn’t sold out. Thursday + Friday visits don’t require reservations.
