Hook
Had to bring Saint to A&E this morning because I called 111 this morning to try and get an out of hours appointment. He had a bad chest the last couple of days but he woke up this morning and he is sucking his chest in with his tummy quite a bit. They got him a video call with a paramedic because they wanted to send an ambulance and they advised he needs to go to A&E within the hour. They still wanted to send one and I just said no. I can take him myself, I can get there quicker. Let's see what they say. He is being seen by triage and we are just back in the waiting room waiting for the doctor to come and see him. Doctor has had a listen to his chest and she is not very happy with it. So she wants to give him an inhaler and then have a listen again in 15 minutes. And if that's okay then she has to give him more in an hour I think. And basically it has to be a consecutive three hours of to show that the inhaler works to show we can send him home with an inhaler. If not he will have to go to CAU and have some treatment and nebulisers up there. But I am kind of glad we are here now because poor boy. You got some toys. He is not going very happy are you? Did you have to have the inhaler? Can you scream the place down? Uh oh. Uh oh. The doctor has just been back to listen to his chest and inhaler has worked on breaking up some of them crackles. So she is happy with that so she needs to come and check him again in an hour and then in another hour and if it is all okay after the three hours I think then we can go. And I am really hoping it is and they can just send him home with an inhaler. See how we go. We have sourced him some more toys, haven't we? You got a car. You being a fussy boy, won't eat your sandwich. You eating biscuits. Good job you are not well. And I will let you. Currently appointment in the pushchair with the blanket and walking around trying to get him to go to sleep. He didn't want his sandwich that they gave him. He has just been a bit fussy and I think he is a bit tired so hope he is going to go to sleep and then we will see. He is having a nap now so I am going to end this here for now. I will follow this up with part two. Just before he went to sleep they did come and check him so they did it an hour and his chest still seemed better meaning that the inhaler is working. I did ask her if I could just go home with an inhaler at that point and she said you can't. It has to be three hours. So yeah I will follow up with a part two and let you all know what happens.
