Ashley Flynn’s Father Deserves So Much Better Than This This one got me. Ashley’s dad explained that he and his wife had worked hard, built something successful, and eventually decided they didn’t want to wait until they were gone for their daughters to benefit from it. So they started sharing the wealth while they were still alive. About $850 a month for each daughter’s family. Not for status. Not for nonsense. For memories. Dance lessons. Things for the girls. Family trips. Experiences they could all enjoy together. And while he’s explaining that, he starts to cry. You can see exactly what kind of father this man is. He didn’t just want to leave his family money. He wanted to watch them enjoy the life he worked so hard to build. I see so many fathers in these cases who failed their families so spectacularly that I’ve become numb to it. And then you see a man like this. A man who worked. Provided. Loved his daughters. Loved his grandkids. Wanted to give them opportunities. Wanted to create memories while he was still here to see them. And now he’s sitting in a courtroom having to relive the murder of his daughter. That makes me furious. I am 10 toes down for Todd Smith. Because this man did what fathers are supposed to do. And if there is one person in this entire trial whose pain I feel in my chest every time he speaks, it is him. Caleb didn’t just destroy Ashley’s life. He shattered an entire family that had done nothing but try to build something beautiful. #AshleyFlynn #CalebFlynn #ToddSmith #CalebFlynnTrial #TrueCrime
