I'm going to talk to you about this morning you found out about Ashley's death. When was that? February 16th, 2026. How did you become aware of this information? I mean, I just got to sleep this morning, seemed like it was about midnight and, uh, I had called Jill at 3 o'clock in the morning. She said that Ashley has been murdered in her bed. What? What? What? She said yes. What did you do during that car ride? I've called Jill a hundred times just to see what in the world's going on. And then she started to tell me the story of what happened. And I said, well, those dogs in the house, they were barking, going crazy. And then when we get in the house, they're going crazy and jumping. But I thought, how in the world did those dogs not be in the cold, in the house, barking? And then I thought, how in the world did that happen? I always thought that there's dogs would be one of the best defenses about against any kind of killer in the house. Because they were well, they were in the cold, and they were starting to bark. And I thought, how in the world did that happen? I didn't even want to put myself through anything else. So I said, I can't even Google that. I said, can a Christian man snap and shoot his wife and kill his wife? I didn't even want to Google that. I said, this doesn't look good on Caleb. And she said, don't even go there. And at that time, I had to suppress it and try to forget because my wife's well-being or worth way more than any feeling that I have. I didn't want to put myself through anything else.
