THIS 9-YEAR-OLD GREAT PYRENEES WAS SURRENDERED TO BE PUT TO SLEEP. 💔 The shelter will NOT euthanize him!! He was surrendered because the owner said he had shown “nippy”/aggressive behavior toward an older daughter. We can only share the information that was provided at surrender, but what I can tell you is what we as volunteers have personally experienced: nothing but sweetness. This baby has allowed us to pet and interact with him without any issues, and we have not experienced any concerning behavior. Today at the shelter, a child was petting him and he did completely fine. I was also carrying another dog right next to him, and he was completely fine with that too — he didn’t even react. Of course, these are simply our observations at the shelter and we cannot know how he will behave in every situation, but we wanted to share what we have personally seen from him. He did live in a home with other dogs; however, according to the previous owner, he showed aggression toward them too.
