Kate Upton might be one of the greatest MLB WAGs. And you probably didn't even know she was one. So in light of her husband Justin Verlander's emotional retirement, let's discuss why she might be the ultimate baseball WAG. Let's rewind to 2012. Kate is one of the biggest supermodels in the world, and she's just met Justin while filming a baseball video game commercial. And she overhears him talking about how he wants to get her number. And in 2014, we have the most iconic baseball boyfriend moment ever. Kate sitting behind the dugout at Yankee Stadium and Justin just casually tosses a baseball up to her. It literally feels out of a rom-com and started fueling dating rumors left, right, and center. Then in 2017, Justin wins the World Series and they go to Italy and get married just days later. But Kate doesn't just sit in the crowd and look pretty. She stands on business when it comes to her man. Like in 2016 when Justin lost the Cy Young Award, she publicly called out the voting on Twitter in what could be the funniest baseball tweet ever. And then in 2022, when Justin was with the Astros, she went viral for flipping off Phillies fans. She came out later and said that it was all friendly banter and Justin completely backed her up. I just love their funny energy as a couple. But now after 21 seasons, Justin's baseball career has come to an emotional end. And during his final game, their seven-year-old daughter ran out onto the pitcher's mound to surprise him. And he just immediately broke down in tears. Kate helped arrange the whole thing, which is just so cute. I can't believe a lot of people don't know about their relationship because they are such an adorable family. Stay sporty.
