🚨 WEST TEXAS FOOD VENDORS — THIS IS YOUR HEADS-UP. 🚨 I was recently contacted by a representative of the Ector County Health Department and was told that my videos are being reviewed to identify food businesses that may need to be licensed, permitted, or operating from an approved commercial kitchen. This especially matters if you’re selling foods such as meat, poultry, seafood, or ice, which can have specific requirements under Texas food regulations. I am NOT saying every home-based food business is operating illegally, and I’m not telling anyone to stop their business. I’m sharing this because I would hate for one of my videos to contribute to someone receiving a violation or fine because they weren’t aware of the requirements. I love supporting local businesses, and I plan to continue doing so. But please if you’re selling food, make sure you know what requirements apply to YOUR business. If you have questions or concerns, contact the Ector County Health Department or Texas DSHS directly and get clarification. I’m giving you the same heads-up I was given. Protect your business.
