This is where today gets VERY interesting. From what happened in court, nearly every major side issue in the Lindsay Clancy case was continued — except the Rule 25 motion. So right now: * Holdout-juror investigation? Continued. * Juror questionnaire / misconduct issues? Continued. * Double-jeopardy fight? Continued. * Other post-mistrial arguments? Pushed down the road. * Rule 25 — the motion asking Judge Sullivan to enter a required finding of NOT GUILTY? Still standing. And that is the part I cannot ignore. Because Rule 25 is the motion that could potentially end the criminal case if Judge Sullivan concludes the Commonwealth’s evidence was legally insufficient. The Sept. 29 date was originally set specifically for status, trial assignment, and the Rule 25 motion. So why is THAT the one thing still moving while everything else gets continued? Is it simply procedure? Is Sullivan trying to deal with the cleanest legal issue first? Does he want to decide whether the evidence was sufficient before everybody spends months fighting about juror misconduct and double jeopardy? Or is there something happening behind the scenes that we simply do not know yet? Because when every other road suddenly closes and one road stays open… I’m watching the road that stayed open. 👀 What do YOU think it means that Rule 25 is the one argument they did not kick down the road? #LindsayClancy #KevinReddington #Rule25 #lindsayClancyTrial #lindsayclancycase
