My toddler was addicted to watching TV, so I got rid of it. But will my toddler be able to survive without her favorite shows? Or am I just going to regret this? So with the TV gone, the first thing my toddler did was read her Tappi books. She spent a ton of time with these since they're interactive, and honestly, I was shocked at how engaged she was and I didn't even have to supervise her. No TV, no problem, she's just going at it. All right, the next challenge is to make sure our toddler does not see us using our phones. Although I still want screen time and getting rid of the TV would be pointless, which is why I use this Peek A Book, perfect for parents who need to hide their phones and make it look like they're reading. After she got bored, she decided it was time to play with her plushies. She just learned how to say his name, Hadoo. After all this time, she finally learned how to say Penguin, but we're going to pronounce it the Korean way, obviously. With no screen time, you can spend all that extra time learning how to say new words. Next was meal time. We ended the day with her grandparents and of course, more Tappi. So overall, this experiment was a success. We were able to cut down her screen time by more than 50%, which is a win in my book.
