Here's everything you need for your baby nursery. Anti-consumerism edition. One, diaper pail. This is a diaper pail. You're gonna put all your dirty diapers in there. Trust me, just get one because unless you're throwing the trash away every few hours, it's gonna stink up the entire trash can and you're gonna throw it away. Alright, next is a baby changing table. Listen, if you're type A like me and you get stressed out easily, you want to have a dedicated area for changing your baby's diaper. Trust me, it's gonna way less stressed out in the long run. Just get a hand-me-down from Facebook Marketplace for $100 or less. Alright, in terms of these changing pads, a cheap one like this. I personally really like the Kiki Rupi changer, which is the most popular one. But again, it's super expensive. But I was able to get one like 50% off on Facebook. Four, baby supplies. Pretty much the only accessories you need for this station are diapers, baby lotions, diaper rash cream if you want, baby wipes, and an optional sound machine. The one we use is this one. The only bad thing about this is it has to be plugged in, so it's messy, but I'm pretty sure there's portable ones out there you can get. Five, air purifier. Next is an air purifier. That's one of the non-negotiables for me because you need to have clean air for your baby. The only thing that might be a little costly is you want to get one that has a real HEPA filter. A lot of the ones that are cheap don't have HEPA filters, so it's not gonna filter as well. Six, baby monitor. This drawer is completely unnecessary. We put this in here because we're going to have a nanny stay here with us for a few weeks. But what is not optional is a baby monitor system. We like this one because it's so simple. You turn it on and it just works. I wanted to use one that does not use Wi-Fi. Seven, blackout curtain. All right, something that a lot of people don't talk about is you need a blackout curtain. Sleep is one of the most important things for kids, babies, adults. Even a little bit of light is gonna disrupt your sleep in an apartment complex. There's lights on the outside, so there's light leakage. Eight, baby bassinet. We got a bassinet for the newborn. Again, a hand-me-down we got from Facebook Marketplace. Nine, baby play mat. Lastly, optional. Some people might want to put a play mat or something. If you're gonna spend a lot of time in here, especially playing with the baby, then of course, feel free to get it, but know that it's completely optional. We put our play mat in the living room.
