My sister and I decided we wanted to live a hallmark movie plot line so we bought this bed and breakfast in May of 2022! This is our story!
Toured the house after a giant snow storm so didn't know too much of what we were working with
Golfi was the listing agent of the bnb property (iykyk)
But we decided to take the risk and live that Gilmore Girls life
Sold our past home together and moved in immediately!
We used the 80/20 rule, 80 percent vintage, 20 percent new!
Started thrifting asap... we had 8 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms to fill
Got to work on some diy projects!
Slide to paint
You can whine about this but it was $10 and damaged! It's a 90s reproduction, not a true antique!
Ta da!!
We still have it today so we promise it didn't go to waste!
More thrifting
Found all the best antique places
Started filling our garage with furniture
Love the copper
Thankfully our mover was okay with adding extra furniture
Started to find more permanent fixtures too
This light fixture is still our favourite and in the front entry of our home!
This was a car ride and a half
Pro tip, bring packing supplies and boxes even if you don't think you are buying anything!
This was move in day, with some extra help
Floors were redone, drapes were replaced and rug is gone
Sanded and restained to match, not replaced!
Made a mini elopement building that also doubles as a photo studio!
Photographers host holiday minis in it now!
It also doubles as a bar, photobooth spot or food station for our larger events!
Kept adding to all of the rooms
Curating a space takes time and we still add to the home daily!
Decorating is one of my favourite parts of the job!
Had our tourism merch designed
Had our kitchen backsplash and fireplace tiled
