BREAKING US death row inmate Christa Pike taken to hospital after surviving two lethal injections, says lawyer

Transcript

BREAKING: This is almost impossible to believe. Christa Gail Pike was supposed to become the first woman executed in Tennessee in more than 200 years. Instead, Tennessee administered TWO doses of the lethal injection drug — and she was still alive. Her attorneys said Pike had lost consciousness but still had a detectable heartbeat and was audibly snoring. Officials eventually stopped the execution.

🚨 SHE SURVIVED TWO LETHAL INJECTION DOSES Tennessee Tried to Execute Christa Pike — She Survived TWO Doses 🚨 BREAKING: This is almost impossible to believe. Officials eventually stopped the process and transported her to a hospital. And now Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee has halted the state’s remaining execution for the year while an independent investigation is conducted. Whatever your position on the death penalty is, this raises a MASSIVE question: What happens legally when the state carries out the execution protocol… and the person survives? Because this wasn’t an IV that couldn’t be placed. They administered the drugs. Twice. And Christa Pike is still alive. I have a feeling we are going to be talking about this case for a while. #ChristaPike #BreakingNews #DeathPenalty #TrueCrime #Tennessee
