cold water biscuits & pickled plums from 1866! well, recipes from 1866, by malinda russell who wrote & published “a domestic cook book,” the first known cookbook by an African American woman. i delve more into her story & her impact, so do check it & her cookbook out (it’s free to access online!), because she has an incredible story & some equally incredible recipes.
