Okay, apparently we've been eye maxxing for several months now and I'm just learning about it. Eye maxxing is using color theory and taking the color of your eyes and looking at the opposite end of the color wheel and using that color to apply your eye makeup and supposedly it's supposed to make your eyes pop. So I thought let's give it a go. In case you're wondering my eyes are naturally green. I know I wear a lot of colored contacts. It's so much fun for me, but this is my natural eye color. So on the color wheel, opposing color to green is like burgundy red tones. So those are the products we're going to use to see what we can do with these eyeballs. I'm going to start with this palette from ColourPop. This is the New Moon palette. Honestly, this is so appropriate because fall is like Twilight season for all my Twi-hards out there. I'm going to grab the shade You're So Beautiful on a fluffy brush. Just put this in my crease. These shadows don't play. Like they're very pigmented. On a smaller brush, I'm going to grab the shade Paper Cut. I'm just going to use this to bring some of those burgundy tones into this look. Side note, let me know if you guys have been to Forks. It's on my list one day. I'm going to grab the shade Bloodsuckers on my finger. I'm just going to throw this here in my outer corner. Grabbing the shade Face Punch on my finger. I'm going to put this on the inner corner. Oh, that color is beautiful. Picking up the shade Mood Control on a flat finer brush. I'm going to just pop this in my inner corner. Taking this eyeliner from Wet n Wild. This is the Breakup Proof waterproof retractable gel liner. This is the shade Brick Brown. I'm just going to apply this to my waterline and I am going to drag it down just a little bit into my lower lashes down here. Picking up You Are So Beautiful on a pencil brush. Going to use this to just blend this out. Going to take the same liner and tightline with this. So excited to try this new product from L'Oreal. This is the Haute Precision liquid felt liner. Looks like this. This is the shade Burgundy Cashmere. Look at that. Oh yeah, girl. I love the felt tip of this liner because it is quite long and it comes to a super sharp point. That makes it super easy to get a nice precise line. For mascara, I'm going to go in with this one from L'Oreal. This is the Panorama mascara in the shade Burgundy Cashmere just like the eyeliner. Look how beautiful that color is. Just a reminder, this is what my eyes look like before. And this is the after. This was such a fun experiment. I do think that these red tones really just pull the green in my eyes forward. Let me know if you guys have tried eye maxxing and what you think about it. See ya.
