What helped the most ⬇️ ➰ Stopping bleach + cutting way back on heat I had 15+ years of bleach and heat damage from straightening my hair. Stopping repetitive bleaching and significantly reducing heat finally gave my hair a chance to recover. ➰ Regular trims Removing damaged ends helped my hair behave better and kept split ends from continuing to travel up the hair shaft. I never did a big “reset cut” because that wasn’t something I was willing to do. I just stayed consistent with trimming the dead ends. ➰ Protein + bond repair I learned how to use both based on what my hair actually needed. Once I did, I started noticing a huge difference in how much my hair would spring back. ➰ Gentler detangling Less ripping = less breakage and unnecessary stress on fragile hair. Start at the ends and gently work your way up. If you detangle wet, make sure you have plenty of conditioner for slip. ➰ Fewer products More product wasn’t fixing the damage. A simpler routine made it easier to see what my hair actually needed. My hair is fine, so too much of almost anything can easily weigh it down. ➰ Consistency Probably the biggest one. Healthier hair came from months of better habits, not one miracle wash day. Healthy hair won’t change your natural pattern, but damage can absolutely hide it. 🎥 Follow for wavy/curly hair tips, tricks & tutorials. #wavycurly #naturalcurls #healthyhairjourney #curlcare #hairtransformation
